We would like to thank Donegal County Council for awarding Inishowen Rivers Trust €2,617 through the Development Fund Initiative (DFI) Grant Scheme.
Funding like this is so important for small charities like ours. While people often see the events, workshops and practical projects we deliver, there are many essential costs behind the scenes that make these activities possible. Things like insurance, office costs, software, equipment and other day-to-day expenses all need to be covered to keep the organisation running.
These costs may not be the most visible part of our work, but without them we simply wouldn’t be able to organise community events, support volunteers, deliver environmental projects or respond to opportunities as they arise.
This funding helps provide a solid foundation for everything we do and allows us to focus on working with local communities to protect and improve Inishowen’s rivers, wildlife and natural heritage.
We are very grateful to Donegal County Council for their support and for recognising the value of community-led environmental work.
