Farming For Water: One Year On.

We are now one year into the Farming for Water project in Inishowen and the response from the farming community has been very encouraging.

Our IRT Community Animator, John Doherty has received expressions of interest from around 100 farmers to date, with more joining weekly. This shows a strong appetite to protect local rivers while keeping farms working well. Farming for Water is about practical farmer led actions and working together to improve water quality, soil health and biodiversity.

If you are a farmer in Inishowen and haven’t engaged yet, there is still plenty of time to get involved. Get In touch for an informal chat, it is all about support, local knowledge and finding solutions that work on the ground.

For more information email [email protected] or call John on 083 1505680. We look forward to hearing from you.
