Volunteer Appreciation Night 2025

A huge thank you to all our brilliant volunteers who came out last night for our Volunteer Appreciation Night at the @inishowenmaritimemuseum.

It was an evening of good conversation, laughter and a chance to say thank you properly to the people who give so much of their time to protect our rivers and local environment.

A very special thank you to Mervyn Norris who has finished his time on the board after many years. Mervyn has given his time, experience and steady support so generously, and his contribution over the years has been hugely valued. Thank you, Mervyn, for everything you’ve done.

Thanks also to Micheal, who is our longest serving volunteer. His constant support and dedication to the work we do is amazing. Thank you for everything you do for us.

We’d also like to say a big thank you to @lawaters.ie and @donegalvolunteercentre for their generous contribution of prizes on the night.

Thanks also to all the staff at Inishowen Maritime Museum for all their hard work on the night and to the McGrory Sister for their amazing music on the night.

Our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do, and we honestly couldn’t do this work without you, thank you to each and every one of you.

If you’ve ever thought about getting involved, whether it’s helping out at events, learning more about rivers, supporting local conservation or sitting on the board we’d love to hear from you.
