What a day!
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for Marine Marvels, the third event in our Green Guardians Biodiversity Training series with Inishowen Rivers Trust on Thurs 24th July 2025.
Led by Daniel Maloney of BirdWatch Ireland Mark Davenport, we set off from Bunagee Pier, Culdaff and made our way to Inishtrahull Island.
Along the way we spotted puffins, shags, cormorants, guillemots, gannets, oyster catchers, fulmars, and the great black-backed gull, plus, a surprise sighting of a sunfish! We were surrounded by seals at the island and just when we thought we’d missed out on dolphins, a pod appeared and followed the boat. A perfect end to a perfect day.
