What a fantastic day today spent with Boomtree Bees. We learned all about bees and how they are connected to everything around them.
In short: bees link flowers to fruit, plants to animals, farms to food, and humans to nature. Mick even organised a swarm to arrive and move into one of his empty hives while we were there, all in the space of 5 minutes.

We learned about the National Biodiversity database and how to record sightings. Recording System : Ireland’s Citizen Science Portal, and about the latest research that Mick is involved in with University of Galway.
