On 30th November 2019, The Local Authority Waters Programme (LAWPRO) and The Rivers Trust announced the Irish Rivers Trust Pilot Resilience Project. The Resilience Project provides funding to two rivers trusts, Inishowen Rivers Trust and Maigue Rivers Trust (Limerick), to each employ a project officer for a period of three years. This project will aim to demonstrate the effectiveness of professionalising the rivers trust movement in Ireland in terms of delivering on the core objectives of the Inishowen Rivers Trust. As Project Officer, Trish is responsible for the day-to-day co-ordination of Trust activities under the guidance of the Board of Directors. You can contact Trish by email [email protected] or on 087 6478183.

This project will be financed by the Department of Housing, Local Government & Heritage and overseen by the Local Authority Waters Programme (LAWPRO). Funding is provided by LAWPRO to The Rivers Trust to oversee and adminster the project.
