Culdaff River Revetment 27th Sep

On Saturday 27 Sep, volunteers will gather in Gleneely to take part in an important piece of riverbank restoration on the Culdaff River. This work, called a revetment, uses natural materials such as brash (bundled branches) to strengthen the riverbank. It helps reduce erosion, protect nearby land, and create better habitats for fish, insects and other wildlife.

Projects like this show how local people can play a hands-on role in caring for our rivers. By working together we not only protect the health of the river but also share knowledge, skills and a sense of community.

Come along on Saturday, we are meeting at Foxwood Estate, Gleneely (55.240373, -7.155484 @9:30.

If you’d like to get involved in future days like this, keep an eye on our events page or join our volunteer mailing list. Together, we can make a real difference for Inishowen’s rivers.
